I. “MUSTS” and PRIORITIES FOR ALL CLUBS 1. Emphasize Rotary’s unique vocational service commitment a. Promote the practice of high ethical standards in business and professions b. Recognize the worthiness of all useful occupations/encourage Rotarians to use their vocations to help people learn skills and get job |
c. Recognize those who excel in their vocations and encourage the promotion of professional development d. Promote the core values of Rotary-Service, Fellowship, Diversity, Integrity and Leadership 2. Emphasize on strengthening each and every club by identifying their weakness and opportunities for growth for each avenue of service. Every Club is autonomous and will be assisted by the District Officers in setting their Club goals. 3. Focus of high membership retention (at least 90%) by assisting clubs in developing effective Rotary Education programs thru facilities of the Rotary Academy/Rotary Leadership Institute. I except each club to set their own net membership gain goals. The District membership target is a net gain of 10% by end of our Rotary year. 4. Support the Rotary Foundation by encouraging Rotarians to support the “Every Rotarian, Every Year” program… Our goal is - $100 per capita per Rotarian. Support the Polio Fund raising program of TRF in order to help realize our dream of ending Polio in the face of the earth. 5. Create a public image program to Inform Rotarians and the communities we serve about “Our Stories of Service and Love” thereby enhancing our image in our community as an outstanding Humanitarian International Organization. II. “WANTS” & VITAL TASKS 1. To increase the capacity of each Club to provide humanitarian service in the areas of emphasis of RI: Water and Sanitation, Health & Hunger, and Literacy. Encourage Clubs to work together and even in cooperation with other Districts in the Philippines and other countries to attain these goals. 2. Each Club is encouraged to adopt a community and organize a Rotary Community Corps (RCC). They must commit to serve and help this community for a fixed number of years to ensure continuity. 3. Promote the internationality of our Organization by encouraging the Clubs to engage in several international service projects such as: a. Develop a World Community Service project (thru project link)/participate in the WCS Project Fair b. Apply for an International Humanitarian Grant c. Forge a foreign and/or local match club agreement d. Visit your Sister or Brother Clubs within the RY e. Participate in the Group Study Exchange f. Participate in the Youth Exchange program (short stay) g. Participants in the Rotary Friendship and Fellowship Exchange (RFE) programs h. Attendance to the International Convention in June 2010 in Montreal, Canada 4. Encourage Club to organize Interact & Rotaract Clubs Interactors and actively participate and support the Youth Service Program 5. Encourage Clubs to engage in partnership with selected District partners – Gawad Kalinga, DOH- Anti TB, Red Cross, Stepping Stone Learning Foundation, Tuloy Foundation, United Nations – UNICEF, various environmental projects with cities such as Paranaque, Makati etc. 6. All clubs to qualify for a Presidential Citation by 31 March 2010. |
